Headquartered in Colorado, I2X is engaged in programs across the country and in more than 20 states.ย  Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers.

I2X Technologies is seeking a Project Cost Accountant to support ongoing activities at our corporate office in Littleton, CO. This position will be onsite for 60 days, and hybrid thereafter.ย Target Start date mid-late March.

  • Manage project-level accounting for government contracts in accordance with FAR, CAS, and company policies.
  • Track, reconcile, and report project costs, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and indirect expenses.ย 
  • Review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy, funding availability and contract compliance.ย 
  • Ensure purchases align with contract terms, approved budgets, forecasts and cost variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers on project budgets, forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
  • Monitor contract funding, burn rates, and ceilings, alert leadership to potential overruns.
  • Prepare and support monthly project billings (cost-plus, T&M, or fixed-price as applicable).
  • Assist with incurred cost submissions, audits, and government inquiries (e.g., DCAA)
  • Reconcile project accounting data with the general ledger.
  • Maintain documentation to support audit readiness and internal controls
  • Collaborate with contracts, business unit and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ Years of accounting experience with purchasing, procurement, or PO processing.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Significant hands-on experience with purchasing, procurement, or PO processing.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and cost allowability principles.
  • Experience with project accounting and job costing.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
  • Strong Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.ย 
  • Experience supporting audits (DCAA or similar) preferred.ย 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with program, contracts, and businiess unit teams.
  • Government contractor ERP experience preferred.ย
