Job Duties:
• Abide by all KY Board of Cosmetology rules and regulations
• Develop classroom lesson plans and record grades in Blackboard
• Provide practical and client laboratory instruction and supervision for Cosmetology I-IV students
• Maintain student and client infection control procedures within the practical and client laboratory
• Maintain record keeping for student hours as indicated by the KY Board of Cosmetology
• Community service
• Attend professional development activities that directly relate to job responsibilities and will enhance student success
• Responsible for instruction in cosmetology courses. Applicants must have knowledge of multiple teaching methods, and education principles, practices, and methodologies for all facets of cosmetology training and have an ability to demonstrate hair, makeup, nails and/or skin care services and walk students through the procedures step-by-step.
• Ability to effectively work with a team is essential to success in this position.
• Must report to program coordinator
Minimum Qualifications:
A current KY Cosmetology License
A current KY Cosmetology instructor license
Preferred Qualifications:
• A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A COSMETOLOGIST IN THE INDUSTRY
• A COMMITMENT TO TEACHING EXCELLENCE
• THE ABILITY TO ADAPT TO MULTIPLE STUDENT LEARNING NEEDS.
