  • Engage with PROs, industry associations, regulatory experts, testing laboratories, suppliers, and other external partners to stay informed on regulatory developments and evolving packaging compliance expectations

Compliance Requirements

  • Translate packaging regulations into clear, actionable compliance requirements for e.l.f. Beauty packaging

  • Lead interpretation of packaging regulatory requirements, deadlines, evidence, and compliance obligations

  • Establish and maintain packaging materials compliance requirements, including restricted substances and materials safety

  • Engage with cross-functional teams seeking clarity on packaging compliance topics, including preparation of summary materials, information sessions and other proactive communication and resources

Process Integration & Implementation

  • Develop and maintain packaging compliance policies, procedures, guidance, decision tools, and training to drive consistent implementation across the organization

  • Help embed compliance requirements and checkpoints into packaging development, sourcing, and commercialization processes

  • Develop and maintain regulatory roadmaps and compliance trackers that provide visibility to emerging requirements, portfolio risks, and implementation status

  • Assess and communicate portfolio exposure to existing and new packaging regulations and associated compliance risks

  • Advise on packaging data and documentation requirements to support regulatory compliance, market access, claims substantiation, and audit readiness

Requirements:
  • 8 or more years of experience in packaging compliance, regulatory affairs, packaging engineering, sustainability, or related fields, ideally within beauty, skincare, personal care, or CPG.

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Sustainability, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of global packaging regulations and emerging requirements, including EPR, PPWR, recycled content, recyclability, packaging labeling, and materials restrictions.

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor regulatory developments, assess business implications, and translate complex requirements into practical actions.

  • Experience developing and implementing packaging compliance programs, policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Working knowledge of packaging materials, restricted substances, materials safety, supplier compliance, and risk-based testing strategies.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate complex regulatory initiatives across functions and markets.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics and communicate risks, priorities, and required actions to senior leadership.

  • Collaborative and influential partner who can work effectively across Packaging, Sustainability, Regulatory, Legal, Sourcing, Finance, and other functions.

  • Ability to operate with strategic perspective while maintaining the attention to detail required for effective regulatory compliance.
