Job description

Emerald Heights, is a premier life plan community located in Redmond, Washington. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician I. The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the proper utilization of materials and equipment to perform a variety of maintenance and preventive maintenance.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00
Mon-Fri, 9:30-6
We offer:

Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responds immediately to all smoke alarms and emergency pull cords.
  • Completes work orders accurately in a timely manner.
  • Performs general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry and painting.
  • Records logs and keeps records as necessary.
  • Supplies Corwin Center therapy tubs with approved chemicals.
  • Accepts and delivers mechanical parts and equipment to the appropriate departments and work centers.
  • Empties trash containers and keeps maintenance rooms neat and orderly.
  • Performs preventive maintenance task.
  • Performs minor maintenance tasks.
  • Assists with major repairs.
  • Drives company vehicle(s).
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • High school graduation or GED preferred.
  • Six months experience with basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, painting and electricity.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s license.
  • Motor Vehicle Record check with no serious violations recorded.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Excellent memory for names and faces.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Courteous and even-tempered.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
