Job description

Corvid's Missile Defense Systems team is looking to add a software engineer providing material support on DevSecOps for a large missile defense program. The position will work onsite with the technical team developing new versions of software applications critical to functionality of the systems, with a focus on security and automation. Candidates should enjoy working on technical challenges as well as collaborating across disciplines and with a diverse team.

Tasking will include:

  • Design, implement, maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • Work closely with software team to streamline the build, test, and deploy workflows
  • Work closely with cyber team to incorporate security gates into workflows
  • Support integration with testing frameworks and compliance scans, improving observability and incident response processes
  • Work with Docker and Podman for containerized solutions

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or similar STEM field) and at least 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
  • Demonstrated experience with modern CI/CD tools (preferably GitLab), containers, and orchestration as well as familiarity with cloud platforms (preferred candidate will have Azure Secret Cloud experience)
  • Strong scripting skills are required (preference for Python or Bash)
  • Understanding of security best practices in DevOps pipelines
  • Experience with static analysis tools such as Fortify or SonarQube is a plus
  • Preferred candidate will have experience working in highly restricted environments
