Job Description

As a Structural Drafter at Coffman Engineers, you'll be part of a collaborative, creative, and high-performing team that believes in making a difference for our clients and our communities. Coffman Engineers is seeking a Structural CAD Drafter/Designer for our Portland office. The successful candidate will assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc. They will be responsible for independently completing design and drafting assignments, ensuring a high level of quality and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
  • 3 or more years' experience in drafting and design (experience in structural buildings and framing preferred).
  • Technical or associate degree in engineering or related sciences preferred.
  • Posses advanced CAD, layout, and BIM skills.
  • Experienced with the latest release of AutoCAD and REVIT design tools.
  • Possess computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, BlueBeam, and graphics.
  • Able to work with numerous project teams to help with project completion.
  • Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings.
