Registered Nurse, Correctional Medicine
Cuyahoga County Jail, Downtown Cleveland
Summary of Responsibilities:
Plans for, delivers documents, and evaluations nursing care of patients in correctional health care in terms of their individual needs, according to provider's orders and in conformance with approved and recognized nursing standards of care, recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and administrative policies.
Facility houses 1,300-2,000 inmates/patients.
Mandatory qualifications:
Licensed Registered Nurse
Active BLS from the American Heart Association ONLY
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of clinical experience in nursing.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Active Ohio RN license in the State of Ohio ONLY
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association ONLY
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Correctional healthcare setting.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance.
Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
