Lewis Rice LLC is seeking a corporate/transactional associate attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our downtown Kansas City office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney to work on sophisticated business transactions alongside experienced attorneys serving a diverse range of clients, including closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, and established companies. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business formations, governance, succession, partnerships and limited liability transactions, tax, commercial agreements, joint ventures, and other general business matters.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, take ownership of matters, and collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas, including real estate, tax, finance, and litigation.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Five or more years of experience in corporate, transactional, or business law
  • Experience managing and supporting complex business transactions
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients

Experience with mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, commercial contracts, business succession planning, real estate transactions, and/or tax matters is preferred.
