Job description

Position: Commissioning Project Manager
Reports to: Senior Commissioning Project Manager
Location: Jeffersonville, Ohio
Salary Range: $105,000 - $140,000

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.

Superior is looking for a Commissioning Project Manager who will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and technical oversight of Quality Assurance and Commissioning activities on hyperscale and mission critical electrical infrastructure projects. The Commissioning Project Manager role bridges field execution, engineering, project operations and client stakeholders to ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely, accurately, and in alignment with contract documents and owner standards. This role is based on a jobsite in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA and Commissioning strategy from preconstruction through turnover
  • Interpret and manage commissioning plans and turnover sequencing
  • Ensure alignment between field installation, design intent, and owner QA/Cx requirements
  • Partner with Project Operations, Engineering, and Field Operations to reduce rework and startup risk
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for electrical startup, system integration issues, and schedule impacts
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors, third-party commissioning agents, and owner representatives
  • Ensure electrically safe work conditions during testing and commissioning
  • Represent the QA/Cx department in owner and executive meetings
  • Provide technical clarity on commissioning strategies and schedule impacts

Your Expertise

  • Required: You have at least 5 years of Electrical Construction Experience in commissioning and mission critical environments
  • Required: You have a strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution, including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and redundantly fed power systems
  • Required: You have experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Required: You have experience within field supervision, commissioning, and/or mission critical environments
  • Required: You have a detailed understanding of NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA, and other applicable codes and standards
  • Bonus Points: You have earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Systems Management
  • Bonus Points: You have extensive knowledge of construction management software, including CX Alloy, Procore, ACC, and BIM 360
