Job Summary:

Responsible for execution of corporate merchandising plans in store to provide planogram consistency. Responsible for stocking shelves, resetting shelves and product rotation and within multiple stores in the designated zone. Evaluates shelf conditions and gives updates to department leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Resets and stocks categories on retail shelves to store specific planograms.
  • Operates pallet jack to unload product from trucks and reload trucks with return items.
  • Executes corporate level merchandising plan designs for store level consistency.
  • Maintains shelf conditions such as stock levels and spacing.
  • Reviews product dates for rotation, shrink, and damage control.
  • Maintains a sanitary and safe working and shopping environment according to Company standards.
  • Collects empty cardboard boxes and other trash and places into bailer.
  • Travels daily to retail stores within a designated geographical area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of store reset/remodel processes.
  • Basic mathematical and measuring skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret planograms and other merchandising blueprints.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to frequently travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Ability to use knives/box cutters.
  • Ability to operate a fork lift/pallet jack.
  • Ability to use precision hand tools.
  • May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • One or more years of stocking experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

Physical Demands:

  • Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
  • Continuously required to stand or walk.
  • Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequently required to bend, kneel or squat.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop or crawl.
  • Frequently required to drive.
