Job description

POSITION PURPOSE 
Responsible for training clients at CHU fitness facilities with CHU procedures & values. While providing exceptional client focused personal training services, build profitable personal training business that helps clients achieve their fitness and health goals though positive motivation, encouragement, and education. 
 
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  
Some of the duties would consist of the following: 
  1. Design individual and small group training programs tailored to the needs and attainable goals of specific clients. Programs should be varied, progressive and are geared toward improving the clients' health and wellness. 
  2. Conducts and understands the need and importance of screening and client assessment, initially and progressively.  
  3. Performs movements and exercises as demonstration for the client. 
  4. Motivates others to improve their overall fitness and health. 
  5. Delivers safe, effective, fun, professional, comprehensive, and interesting workouts to all fitness-training clients 
  6. Provides knowledge of human anatomy and the concepts of functional exercise, basic nutrition and exercise science. 
  7. Meet monthly session redemption budget 
  8. Be an advocate for CSU and CHU at all times 
  9. Always display a professional and enthusiastic attitude 
  10. Maintain all required certifications 
  
QUALIFICATIONS 
  
Skilled in safe and proper use of machine weights, free weights, cardiovascular equipment. Has knowledge of human anatomy and the concepts of functional exercise, basic nutrition and exercise science. Maintain required certifications and gain new qualifications by attending workshops, fitness events and educating oneself with the latest research. Provide excellent customer service skills with a supportive and enthusiastic attitude. The personal trainer is also dedicated to maintaining personal integrity with his/her own health and fitness. The trainer must be punctual an dependable with a strong work ethic. 
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 
 
Required: Nationally recognized and company preferred Personal Trainer certification: 
ACSM CPT, EP, CEP 
ACE CPT 
NASM CPT 
NSCA CPT 
Required: Current CPR/AED & First Aid certification 
Minimum one-year personal training or small group training experience
