Key responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze market expansion, physician partnerships, payor strategy, and other high-impact initiatives.

Job description

Strategy & Corporate Development Associate

Hybrid - remote with regular travel

The ideal next step for high performers coming off a middle-market investment banking or top-tier consulting analyst program, or a PE-backed/public company corporate development rotation, who are ready to own strategic projects end-to-end.

United Vein & Vascular Center is scaling one of the fastest-growing platforms in outpatient vascular care - and we're looking for a sharp, driven Associate to help drive that growth from the inside. You'll sit at the table with the Chief Growth Officer and senior leadership, working on the acquisitions, market expansion, and payor strategy decisions that shape where the company goes next. If you're ready to trade a supporting role for real ownership, this is that next step.

Backed by Amulet Capital Partners, UVVC is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy through de novo clinic development, strategic acquisitions, physician partnerships, joint ventures, payor expansion, and value-based care initiatives.

The company is in an exciting phase of accelerated growth and expects to approximately double in size over the next three years.

Who You Are

You've completed a structured, rigorous 2-4 year program in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, strategy, private equity, or transaction advisory - this is not an entry-level role, and we're looking for candidates on the other side of that experience, ready to own projects rather than support them. You bring:

  • Exceptional financial modeling and Excel skills, with a track record of building models independently.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to produce executive-quality materials with minimal oversight.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude to accelerate research, data processing, financial analysis, or other analytical workflows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving instincts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate effectively under tight deadlines.
  • A demonstrated ability to work directly with senior executives and external stakeholders.
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Healthcare services experience, particularly physician practice, ambulatory surgery, office-based labs, vascular, cardiology, radiology, or other outpatient specialties.
  • Experience conducting market-entry, growth strategy, or commercial projects.
  • Experience building operating models, valuation models, or investment cases.
  • Experience evaluating acquisitions, joint ventures, or other strategic investments.
  • Experience working directly with C-suite executives or Boards.
What You'll Be Doing

De Novo Growth & Market Strategy

  • Provide analytical support for UVVC's quarterly de novo growth reviews and multi-year strategic planning.
  • Evaluate market prioritization frameworks incorporating payor attractiveness, disease prevalence, customer acquisition costs, competitive dynamics, physician supply, reimbursement, and market economics.
  • Help manage UVVC's proprietary market intelligence and site-selection tools, including periodic refinement of the market selection model.
  • Analyze existing market performance and identify opportunities to increase clinic capacity, patient volumes, referral capture, and revenue generation.
  • Conduct clinic-level pro forma analysis to evaluate expected volumes, revenue, EBITDA, capital investment, and returns.

Acquisitions & Joint Ventures

  • Manage UVVC's acquisition and joint venture pipeline across arterial OBLs, vein practices, and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Participate in discussions with prospective physician partners and develop trusted relationships with business owners.
  • Build detailed acquisition and JV underwriting models, including revenue, EBITDA, physician compensation, capital requirements, synergies, transaction structure, and returns.
  • Coordinate diligence across finance, operations, clinical, legal, HR, real estate, and other functional teams.

Payor & Value-Based Care Strategy

  • Analyze payor landscapes across UVVC's markets, including payor mix, covered lives, reimbursement, network participation, and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop business cases supporting expansion of UVVC's payor network.
  • Analyze opportunities with ACOs, CINs, primary care MSOs, Medicare Advantage organizations, and other referral partners.
  • Support commercial presentations and partnership proposals for prospective payors and referral partners.

Executive Decision Support

  • Prepare Board, investor, and executive presentations.
  • Develop concise analyses and recommendations for the CGO, CFO, CEO, and senior leadership.
  • Track strategic initiatives and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and required decisions.
  • Conduct rapid-turn analyses on issues that directly impact the company's growth and capital allocation decisions.

Organizational Expectations

  • Demonstrate and promote a work culture committed to UVVC's Core Values: understanding, nurturing, ingenuity, trust, excellence, and diversity.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with UVVC's Standards of Conduct as outlined in our Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, HIPAA, and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Offer

UVVC is committed to investing in YOU-your success, your growth, and your well-being. We've built a supportive, engaged culture where your voice is valued and your career can thrive. Team members enjoy:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Outstanding work-life balance
  • Health, vision, and dental benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 100% company-paid life insurance
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
