Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $ $116,534 - $154,413.38. Individual pay within, this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&Cโ€™s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join our Team as a Manager-Corporate Communications Programs!

This role serves as the operational leader of S&C Electric Company's Corporate Communications programs, translating communications strategy into integrated programs, content, and measurable outcomes. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of S&C's external communications programs, including the integrated editorial calendar, content development, executive thought leadership support, media and content partnerships, sustainability communications, and performance measurement. This position includes managing the Corporate Communications Programs team, establishing priorities, coaching, and ensuring communications programs, media relations, advertising, and content partnerships are aligned with strategy, business priorities, and messaging standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the Corporate Communications Programs team, establishing priorities, coaching team members, managing workloads, and ensuring communications programs are aligned with Corporate Communications strategy, business priorities, and messaging standards.
  • Owns the Corporate Communications editorial calendar, content planning process, and communications pipeline, ensuring effective prioritization, resource coordination, and a consistent flow of high-quality content across paid, earned,
  • shared, and owned channels.
  • Develops and manages integrated communications programs, project plans, production schedules, and budgets supporting executive thought leadership, sustainability communications, research initiatives, speaking engagements, media partnerships, and other Corporate Communications priorities.
  • Serves as a senior writer and editor, developing and reviewing executive communications, thought leadership, speeches, presentations, sponsored content, social media support, and corporate storytelling assets to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with S&C's brand voice.
  • Partners with vice presidents, functional leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional Marketing teams to develop communications content, identify storytelling opportunities, and maximize the reach and business impact of Corporate Communications programs.
  • Leads S&C's sustainability communications program, including development and execution of the annual Sustainability Report and supporting communications activities.
  • Establishes measurable goals for assigned communications programs, monitors performance, analyzes results, and applies audience insights, industry trends, and communications best practices to continuously improve program effectiveness and business impact.
  • Serves as a trusted communications advisor to assigned stakeholders, integrating communications activities across business functions, agencies, and external partners while ensuring alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of S&C's business priorities, growth objectives, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to recommend communications opportunities and support business goals.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What youโ€™ll need to succeed

Required

  • 10 or more years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, content marketing, thought leadership, public relations, or related field. Previous leadership and B2B experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing communications professionals or cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices and experience developing and managing integrated communications programs from concept through execution.
  • Proven project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of best practices and experience developing performance metrics and evaluating communications effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong budget management and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
