Commercial airlines are companies like Delta, American, and other well-known carriers that serve the general public. Anyone can purchase a ticket on a commercial airline. On the other hand, corporate airlines typically market themselves as for-hire planes and helicopters. A business that uses a corporate airline typically pays to have a plane or helicopter for their own use, much like a team or organization might charter a commercial airline. Corporate airlines often provide luxury service and convenience to customers at a much higher price. While these companies operate differently, they are both subject to many of the same regulations.
