Wilder Equipment Company - Experienced Mechanic

Job Description

Located near Downtown Nashville, Wilder Equipment has been serving the construction industry in the mid-South for over 80 years. We are a small, family owned company that has been continually operating since 1937. We offer a friendly, stable atmosphere, with lots of opportunity for growth.

We primarily rent, service, and sell large water pumps and tree recycling equipment. We offer high quality products and services for well-known pumps such as Gorman Rupp, Gulf Atlantic, Berkeley, Crane, Cornell, and more. We also sell and service Morbark tree chippers and Rayco stump grinders, and BOXER mini-skid loaders with over 50 attachments. Specific training provided in house and by factory schools.

Job Responsibilities:

· Maintain and repair rental fleet of pumps and related equipment

· Deliver and pick-up equipment for construction jobs

· Assist with set-up of equipment and instruct customers in proper operation

· Diagnose equipment problems in the shop and in the field

· Proper reporting of all maintenance and field work performed on maintenance reports

· Utilize time before and between maintenance jobs by keeping your work area as clean as possible and assisting in daily cleaning of shop and the yard

· Lots of variety and opportunity to learn

· Normal schedule = 40 hours/week, M-F

· Some overtime, some weekend and emergency response involved

· Occasional out of town/overnight travel involved

Job Requirements:

· Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn more skills

· Team oriented, positive attitude, honesty, and integrity

· Strong work ethic and desire to provide quality customer service

· Meet company and federal safety requirements

· Basic set of tools

· Valid driver’s license and good driving record

· DOT physical

· Drug testing upon hire

Compensation:

· Starting $22+/hour based on experience

· 90-day review

· Paid holidays, vacation, personal days

· Uniform and equipment allowance
