Summary Description:

Use machine to knock cores out of castings as necessary


9am -5:30pm Schedule must be able to train for about 30 days from 7am -3:30pm

Essential Functions:

  • Remove castings from belt and place in knock out machine to knock out castings
  • Ensures gating/sprues stays with castings on cooling belt
  • Ensure that castings are NOT lost or misplaced.
  • Never throw castings on floor
  • Use caution when knocking out core as to not damage the casting
  • Properly dispose of core sand in outside dumpster using wheelbarrow
  • Keeps work are clean and free of debris
  • Properly clocks in and out of Odyssey Shop Floor Manager
  • When there are no cores to knock out helps in other areas of the foundry as requested
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested
  • Carries out all duties and responsibilities in full accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.

Must have High School diploma or GED; Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
