We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support and evolve complex enterprise infrastructure. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can design scalable network solutions, strengthen security across critical environments, and partner closely with engineering teams to turn architectural concepts into dependable production systems. The role focuses on building resilient, high-performing networks for a multi-tenant environment while ensuring maintainability, operational efficiency, and long-term reliability.
Responsibilities:
• Design and refine network architecture for a multi-tenant enterprise environment, aligning solutions with performance, security, and scalability goals.
• Lead network initiatives from early planning through implementation readiness, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and supportable.
• Create standardized, reusable network frameworks that improve consistency, simplify expansion, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Administer and optimize datacenter and backbone connectivity across multi-vendor and multi-protocol environments.
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot core network components including Cisco routers, Cisco ASA platforms, Palo Alto firewalls, Brocade switches, and Juniper infrastructure.
• Manage routing and traffic flow using Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and related networking technologies to maintain stable and efficient connectivity.
• Strengthen network security by supporting firewall policy management, secure access controls, and PKI-related capabilities where applicable.
• Use scripting or programming tools such as Python, Bash, or C++ to automate network tasks, improve monitoring, and streamline operational workflows.• 7+ years of experience in network engineering within enterprise or large-scale IT environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco routers, Cisco IOS, and broader Cisco networking technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ASA, and network security best practices.
• Experience managing BGP and supporting complex routing in datacenter or backbone networks.
• Familiarity with multi-vendor environments that may include Brocade switches and Juniper platforms.
• Ability to develop automation or support scripts using Python, Bash, or C++.
• Understanding of PKI concepts and their use in secure network environments.
• Proven ability to translate architectural goals into reliable, supportable network solutions.
