Job Description:

  • Assists with data analysis and evaluates opportunities for improvement. 
  • Collaborates with departments and serves as a leader in analyzing opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepares and presents Performance Improvement reports to leadership and medical staff regarding applicable requirements and current performance.
  • Distributes data in usable formats as directed.
  • Provides consultation and support for performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Abstracts clinical information from medical records for submission of core measures, National Cardiac Data Registry data, and cardiovascular surgery outcomes.
  • Interacts with and provides education to front line staff, including physicians, on a daily basis.
  • Processes and maintains data according to established procedures. Conducts timely chart abstraction to maintain compliance with external regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures thorough and accurate data collection and entry, evidenced by inter-rater reliability scores.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
