Job description

Scope of Job:

Responsible for the operational administration the core banking system and integrated digital platforms making up the electronic banking delivery channel, ensuring peak performance and compliance with industry standard practices for Deposit products and services, while maximizing efficiency for BW associates and our bank customers.

Incumbent works closely with internal bank departments/associates and 3rd party vendors to resolve any technical deficiencies, assist with integration, implement and test new functionality and develop new products and services to ensure delivery of optimal customer experience. Accountable to support the achievement of Strategic Initiatives with operational and electronic delivery considerations.

Primary Duties:

Responsible for the day-to-day management, staffing, administration, and related supportstaff for the assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Selects, trains, coaches, and develops subordinates in accordance with BankWest philosophies and policies; schedules and manages staffing ensuring work completion and delivery of related customer service requirements; ensures compliance with BankWest policies, procedures and standards.

Ensure the setup, configuration, maintenance and support of the internal core banking platform and various integrated platforms providing digital delivery for all Deposit products and services. Maintain system integrity.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues as reported by end users. Effectively and quickly resolve day to day systems issues, working with BW associates and 3rd party vendors as needed to resolve issues.

Support implementation of new releases for the software/systems through performing impact analysis, testing, and other aspects of change management. This includes collaboration with project management and business areas to ensure adequate training is provided to BW associates prior to rollout of changes within releases.

Support implementation of new systems including data integration. Assist in establishing and maintaining systems interfaces. Propose and implement systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the core banking systems and integrated digital platforms.

Maintain up to date knowledge of current systems in use to support bank business; understand the data flow of information. Stay current on banking industry specific emerging technology trends. Recommend new technology/equipment and improvements needed to solve inefficiencies and issues.

Collaborate with various bank representation to execute operational support requirements for all aspects of the core banking system and electronic banking delivery channels by developing communications that will keep stakeholders up to date on changes to functionality, appearance and security features within the platforms. Provide complex problem solving support and guidance.

Ensure compliance with Bank security policies, regulation and laws. Collaborate with fraud and risk management to assure systems settings provide maximum bank and customer protections. Responsible to stay abreast of new and or high profile bank regulations impacting delivery and operations.

Accountable to manage the ongoing requirements for business continuity in collaboration with other operational areas. Responsible to document the Business Continuity Plan as it pertains to assigned systems and platforms.

Provide leadership to support the development and implementation of Strategic Initiatives for the Bank.

Secondary Duties:

Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.

Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.

Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience:

5 years' experience in related field.

Experience in working as supervisor, mentor, and coach team members, reporting team members, or individuals under your direction.

Knowledge and Special Skills:

Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.

Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.

Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.

Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.

Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.

Knowledge of BankWest products and services.
