Job description

Position Overview

Managed Financial Networks (MFN) is seeking a skilled Application Administrator to support and maintain enterprise applications used within MFN’s hosted infrastructure and managed services platform for credit unions.

This role focuses on the administration, monitoring, configuration, and support of enterprise applications and supporting automation systems. The Application Administrator will work closely with infrastructure, security, and client support teams to ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and highly available.

The ideal candidate is experienced in application lifecycle management, automation, and operational support within a regulated technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application Administration

  • Administer and support a portfolio of enterprise and financial services applications hosted within MFN’s infrastructure.

  • Perform application installations, upgrades, patching, and configuration management.

  • Monitor application health and performance and respond to operational issues.

  • Troubleshoot application errors and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams.

  • Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Automation & Operations

  • Support enterprise job scheduling and automation platforms used to manage operational workflows.

  • Monitor scheduled jobs and workflows and resolve execution issues.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Maintain documentation of automated workflows and operational dependencies.

System Integration Support

  • Assist with integration and interoperability between applications and core systems.

  • Support data exchange processes including file transfers, batch processing, and API-based integrations.

  • Work with internal teams to troubleshoot application integration issues.

Reliability & Security

  • Ensure applications are maintained according to security, patching, and configuration standards.

  • Support audit and compliance requirements including documentation for SOC2 and regulatory reviews.

  • Participate in change management processes for application updates and releases.

Operational Support

  • Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation when required.

  • Assist with incident response and root cause analysis for application outages or disruptions.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application reliability and operational maturity.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience administering enterprise or business-critical applications

  • Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux-based application environments

  • Experience with application lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in managed services or hosted environments

  • Familiarity with automation or job scheduling platforms

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools

  • Knowledge of financial services or credit union technology environments

  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

  • Understanding of ITIL processes, change management, and incident management
