Job description

Corcentric is looking for a Collections Manager to join a high-performing, collaborative team within our growing global organization. In this role, you will own a portfolio of high-volume commercial accounts, lead a team of collections professionals, and serve as a key partner to Sales, Customer Support, and senior leadership. You will bring both the operational rigor to manage complex Accounts Receivable workflows and the leadership presence to represent the collections function at the executive level — internally and with our customers.

We're a down-to-earth group doing meaningful work. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, enjoy solving problems, and want to bring modern tools — including AI — into your daily workflow, you'll fit right in.

As a Collections Manager, you will:

  • Manage collections across a portfolio of high-volume commercial accounts, maintaining low delinquency and strong cash-flow performance.
  • Lead and develop a distributed collections team—including staff in Corcentric’s Global Capacity Center in India—by setting clear expectations, maintaining structured cross‑time‑zone communication rhythms, adapting coaching for a remote cross‑cultural environment, and ensuring consistent application of collections processes, escalation protocols, and customer communication standards across locations.
  • Drive high performance and operational alignment across geographies by monitoring shared performance metrics, resolving friction points in offshore/onshore workflows, and partnering with India‑based team leads and HR to support workforce planning, local practices, and cohesive team operations.
  • Analyze billing, EDI, pricing, and payment issues; identify root causes and lead cross-functional resolution efforts.
  • Negotiate resolution of collection matters directly with customers, escalating critical issues to appropriate leadership.
  • Present portfolio performance and risk assessments to C-level stakeholders at Corcentric and within client organizations.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Support, AR, Credit, Cash Application, and Disputes teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Identify drivers of delinquency trends and operational measurement changes; develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Oversee customer credit reviews, account holds, and external collections agency referrals.
  • Design and improve operational processes across the AR, Disputes, Credit, Systems, and Cash Application groups.
  • Prepare clear, concise management reporting: metrics dashboards, portfolio status, and performance summaries.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of customer communications, billing disputes, and service escalations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your team through recruiting, performance evaluations, ongoing feedback, and professional development initiatives.
  • Establish clear goals and foster a high-performance team culture grounded in accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to draft communications, summarize escalations, analyze aging and collections data, and identify trends or at‑risk accounts to support efficient finance operations.
  • Apply foundational prompt‑engineering skills and maintains awareness of emerging AI capabilities while using AI responsibly, with a clear understanding of compliance requirements and the proper handling of sensitive customer information.

Requirements

You’ll need to have:

  • Relevant experience in credit & collections in a commercial, business-to-business (B2B) environment
  • Strong organizational, team building and leadership skills, with the ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to describe challenges and processing solutions in a concise manner
  • A strong “client service” mindset and the ability to use collaborative and non-adversarial approaches in building relationships
  • Strong mentoring, coaching and professional development skills
  • Multi-tasking capabilities and tolerance for a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to stay organized, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level or above (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be professional, persuasive, and assertive while maintaining positive customer relationships

It’s great if you also have:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 software

(We want to make sure you’re set up to succeed, and we view these as the critical skills you’ll need to achieve great things at Corcentric!)
