Job Summary

The Business Unit Marketing Manager is a strategic marketing leader responsible for strengthening Etac North America Mobility brand positioning, supporting commercial growth, and leading marketing initiatives that advance company priorities. This role requires a leader who can translate market insight, product strategy, and customer needs into clear, effective marketing plans that support product commercialization, sales enablement, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience leading and scaling marketing teams within medtech, complex rehab technology, rehab, or adjacent healthcare markets. This individual must be able to build structure, develop talent, create accountability, and foster a culture grounded in collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires both strategic leadership and practical execution capabilities, including the ability to move fluidly between coaching the team, guiding priorities, and stepping in as a hands‑on contributor when needed to keep critical work moving forward.

This role also requires a well‑rounded marketing professional with the creative judgement, copywriting strength, digital fluency, and technical capability to elevate the quality and effectiveness of marketing execution. The Business Unit Marketing Manager should be able to strengthen how the team plans, creates, measures, and optimizes campaigns across digital, content, sales enablement, and customer communication channels, ensuring the work is not only strategic, but clear, compelling, accurate, and commercially effective.

This position will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Clinical Education, Engineering, Customer Service, and executive leadership to align marketing efforts with business objectives. This role will be expected to lead with sound judgment, communicate clearly, strengthen team capability, and deliver measurable results tied to strategic initiatives, market growth, and commercial performance.

Essential Functions Job Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company and corporate growth objectives.
  • Create annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance metrics that support product launches, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer insights, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align marketing initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on market positioning, customer experience, and commercial growth initiatives.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a high‑performing marketing team.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable culture focused on achieving measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans for team members.
  • Mentor employees to strengthen leadership capabilities, marketing expertise, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Brand & Product Marketing

  • Lead development of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, events, public relations, and channel marketing.

  • Collaborate with Product Management to develop product positioning, messaging, launch strategies, and sales enablement materials.
  • Support the commercialization of new products through comprehensive go‑to‑market planning.
  • Oversee creation of educational content that communicates clinical, technical, and customer benefits.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to develop tools, campaigns, and programs that drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
  • Create sales collateral, presentations, competitive intelligence, and customer communications.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness and continuously optimize marketing efforts using performance data.
  • Support dealer, distributor, and clinical partner marketing initiatives.

Digital Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee website strategy, digital advertising, email marketing, social media, SEO, and content marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize marketing automation and CRM tools to improve lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
  • Ensure all communications meet regulatory and brand standards.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with various departments such as: Engineering, Product Development, Clinical Education, Regulatory, Quality, and Customer Service teams.
  • Ensure marketing materials accurately represent product capabilities while maintaining compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of trade shows, company conferences, and other large scale company events.

Qualifications: Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Experience
  • Required:
    • At least 5 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within medical device or complex rehab technology.
    • 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing marketing teams.
    • Demonstrated success building and executing marketing strategies.
  • Standard working conditions include a temperature‑controlled office and manufacturing environment.
  • Position may include up to 25% of domestic travel.
  • Position can be remote with regular requirements to visit the US headquarters in Stevens Point, WI a minimum of 4x a year, with an average of once every 2-3 months.
