Job description

We are looking for a curious and motivated Editorial Intern with a passion for writing, pop culture, and music discovery. As an editorial intern at The FADER, you will be an active member of our editorial team and work closely with our editors and writers on covering music news, conducting artist interviews, and writing social copy.
Key Responsibilities
  • You'll learn how to cover music news from new releases to tour announcements, and contribute to FADER tentpole series like Songs You Need
  • You'll assist the editorial and social team in transcribing interviews and story research
  • You'll learn our CMS to format and build web stories according to The FADER's style guide
  • You'll have the opportunity to interview artists, write about cultural trends, and research regional scenes
  • You'll attend concerts and other live events on behalf of The FADER

Qualifications
  • You're currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program studying Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, or a related field
  • You can meet deadlines, work quickly and with accuracy, and have a willingness to learn
