Job description

The Events & Email Marketing Manager, Graduate Admissions works independently to successfully create and manage up to 300 events per year across multiple locations, domestic and international, and in-person and virtual to support prospective graduate students across Babson's growing graduate program portfolio. Serving as the primary owner of Graduate Admissions event operations and related communications, this position plays a critical role in shaping the prospective and admitted student experience. Specifically responsible for independently managing priorities, evaluating outcomes, and implementing improvements to support enrollment goals, enhance engagement, and ensure a high-quality, student-centered experience throughout the admissions lifecycle; and managing the day-to-day operations required for ensuring high-quality and diverse recruiting events as well as email communication with prospective & incoming graduate students, including event invitations and programmatic announcements. Event portfolio includes, but is not limited to, signature recruitment events, welcome events for admitted students, webinars, virtual class visits, visitor programs, and recruiting fairs.

Event Strategy, Planning, & Execution:

  • Independentlylead the planning and execution of a comprehensive portfolio of global recruiting events in alignment with institutional recruitment goals and under the direction of senior leadership.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery acrossinperson,virtualand on-demandformats,including content development,logistics, timelines, registrationprocessand promotionalstrategies.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership forallevent operations and partnerengagement andserve as the primary contact for GraduateAdmissions'events.
  • Write compelling event descriptions to drive event engagement.
  • Provide day-of-logistical support for virtual events andattend in-person events as needed.
  • As new graduate programs are developed and launched, create and execute event and email promotional plans to drive conversions.

Email Marketing Management:

  • Lead theday-to-dayexecution of Graduate Admissions email marketing initiatives in alignment with enrollment goals and under the direction of senior leadership. Develop,writeanddeploycandidateemail communications-including event promotion,ad-hocprogrammatic messaging, and operational announcements.
  • Exercisedecision-makingauthority over copy development to ensure brand consistency and market relevance. Build andmaintainemails, data extensions, and audience queries; conduct rigorous quality assurance for targeting and content accuracy; and deploy campaigns.Use available AI tools to craft and refresh email copy as needed.
  • Manage the communications calendar to deliver a cohesive,high-qualitycandidate experience. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with College Marketing.
  • Develop and managelead nurturecommunication strategiesfor 3rd-party event & partnership leadsacquiredby Graduate Admissionsthat support engagement and conversionto contacts.

Strategic Collaboration & Market Responsiveness:

  • Collaborate with the Graduate AdmissionsSeniorLeadership team to support and execute the annual recruiting events strategy.
  • Analyze and incorporate data from available AI tools to create events and develop communication plans that meet the rapidly changing needs of candidates to increase engagement across all events ultimately helping to drive conversation from initial interest to matriculation.
  • Manage key implementation efforts that strengthen prospective student engagement and contribute toadmitted studentyield.
  • Coordinate inclusive and accessiblein personand virtual event offerings for domestic and international audiences.
  • Apply data insights and creative approaches to adapt to market trends and enhance the candidate experience across the recruitment lifecycle.

Campus Engagement & Stakeholder Management:

  • Independently coordinate and managetheparticipationof faculty, staff, current students, and alumni toparticipatein Graduate Admissions events.
  • Partner with offices across the institution toidentify, prepare, andshowcasediverse student perspectives and experiencesrepresentingall graduate programs. Maintainaccuratealumni engagement records and participation data.Work with Human Resources to ensure compliance with Volunteer Policy requirements and guidelines.
  • Provide speakers with content guidance and technicalsupport andtrain student ambassadors and volunteers to effectivelyrepresentthe institution ineventrelatedactivities.

Staff Oversight & Operational Support:

  • Support recruitment efforts by engaging with prospective students at events, via phone, and withwalk-invisitors. Provide responsive, welcoming service and appropriately transfer candidates to EnrollmentManagementteam members to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience.
  • Hire, train,and superviseastudentworker toassistwith administrative event tasks andleadon-campus tours.
  • Establish priorities and manage workflows forcampus visit experiences.
  • Maintainand actively contribute totheGraduate Admissions Event Guide to support consistent and efficient event execution.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

Bachelor's Degree

A minimum of 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in events management

Must have strong customer service orientation and interpersonal & communication skills

Must have strong organizational skills, attention todetail,and ability to work independently

Ability to successfully management multiple projectssimultaneously

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Hybrid schedule which requires work onsite a minimum of2days a week(requires 5 days a week for the first 3 months for training purposes). Someadditionaldays onsite may berequiredto accommodate in person meetings and other events. The on-campus requirement is subject to modification based on organizationalneeds.

Requiredoccasional travel to events withinthe GreaterBoston area.

Occasional evenings/weekends

This is an exempt position with the following pay range: $67,766 - $75,296; the role is also eligible for bonuses based on performance and budget.
