Summary

The Director of Iterative Copy & GEO Content is responsible for keeping copies fresh along all assigned portfolios and brands for the purposes of search, conversion, reputation and conversion. This role aims to achieve revenue goals while contributing to overall profitability for the company through copy content creation in today’s everchanging AI-oriented world. The Director of Iterative Copy & GEO Content (ICGC) must be analytical and have in-depth knowledge of the changing landscape of supplement industry consumer journeys online. This party creates copy in keeping with the overall positioning of the brand and the target audiences to continue to rank amongst a crowded field of supplement brands in today’s dynamic market. Duties include strategizing routes to market for copy and updating landing pages, creating blogs, working with out of house parties, managing a schedule of press releases, gaining awards and working with the ED of AI Success to ensure copy is achieving goals to win search and share of voice. Role works with brand and sales leadership teams to ensure copy for sales pitches, selling collateral and B2B pitch materials is carefully crafted to articulate product line positions and opportunities for trade. Position success is measured by search ranking, landing page conversions, sales at the B2B level, and earned press.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with the marketing leadership and brand teams to create copy strategies for alignment with brand positioning for all search inquiries along the consumer journey – hooks, articles, blogs, landing pages
  • Accountable for the consistent press release of creation across all assigned entities and brand lines.
  • Works in partnership with peers across departments to define, design, and deliver on retail sales materials including copy points surrounding the science of the brand, positioning of the brand to the consumer, opportunities within category and trade to gain authorizations, increase sales.
  • Create tasks for visual sales materials and provide final copy for all materials
  • Work to define trade development opportunities and craft key messages for eblasts to mailing lists surrounding B2Bwith (DTC opportunities as needed)
  • Work with Brand Management teams to create hooks for various sales channels including TikTok, SEO, GEO and sponsored ads or other copy needs to update / adjust listings, or attract consumers
  • Actively identify opportunities and adjust copy on landing pages or create copy for freestanding landing pages using the database of company URLs to populate the internet with more available locations for copy / content on the featured brands, product lines.
  • Collaborate with brand teams and product development teams for newly launched brands to ensure the copy is maximized and optimized for GEO, Amazon listings and initial ads or other touchpoints including updates to the corporate or branded websites. This includes press releases and landing pages.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with changes in the supplement channel, the AI changes and opportunities for exploitation of content and brand promotion.
  • Works with the Content Team strategist for English to create copy as requested to support campaigns or scripts.
  • Works with the podcast team as requested to provide key messaging points for in-studio podcast filming for various assigned personalities or brands.
  • Works as assigned by the Content Team leads for scripting overall for longer form shows that include science segments and segments for the brand specific claims.
  • Works with the science team to translate science heavy points into copy for consumer digestion for scripting, internet, etc.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Master’s degree a plus in business, marketing or related discipline
  • 10+years’ experience creating copy ready for all mediums of media
  • 10+years’ experience working with others in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Ability to work regular, full-time schedule, Monday through Friday with the flexibility to work additional hours including holiday and weekends depending on business demands
  • Ability to travel via car, train or plane to make sales calls throughout the domestic US and Puerto Rico.
