CNN Sports Internships: ATL - Fall 2026

This internship will be located in the Atlanta area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.
Your Role Accountabilities
Support the daily production of CNN World Sport programming across weekdays and weekends
Attend and actively participate in daily editorial and production meetings
Assist in building and maintaining show rundowns, including copy editing, creating still images via stringers, and basic video editing
Contribute to the production of vertical video content across a broad range of sports, both in-office and in the field
Join the production team in the field for sit-down interviews conducted by producers or anchors, as needed
Play an active role in story selection for shows, including researching interview topics and supporting guest bookings (live or pre-taped)
Pitch original story ideas and contribute assigned articles for CNN Digital
Qualifications & Experience
Passion for sports and a strong interest in storytelling
A knowledge of and active participation in social media as a news tool
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and reliable
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
