Position Title: Videography Intern
Department: Marketing
Location: Assigned Regional Market / On-Site at Prescribed Events
Duration: 10-Week Summer Internship Program (May 29, 2026 - August 7, 2026)
Compensation: $500/week ($5,000 total program compensation)
About Perfect Game
Perfect Game is the world's largest youth baseball and softball platform, hosting thousands of events annually and serving as the home of elite amateur baseball and softball competition across the country. Perfect Game's Marketing Department is launching a new Social & Content Summer Internship Program designed to identify and develop emerging creative talent in sports media and storytelling.
Position Overview
Perfect Game is seeking highly motivated, creative, and organized Videography Interns to capture and produce dynamic event content throughout the summer. Interns will work directly with the Marketing and Content teams to create engaging video assets across Perfect Game's social and digital platforms.
This role is designed for aspiring sports videographers and editors who are passionate about storytelling, real-time sports coverage, and short-form digital content creation.
Key Responsibilities
• Shoot, edit, and produce real-time event video content during tournaments and showcases.
• Capture highlights including: Big hits and HR's, Standout performances, Emotional moments, Crowd and atmosphere content, BTS team and player content
• Gather B-roll footage of players, teams, coaches, facilities, and events.
• Create social-first video edits optimized for Instagram, X, and other digital platforms.
• Produce a minimum of eight prescribed video assets per week, including but not limited to: Event highlight reels, Home run mashups, Top performer edits, Hype videos, Daily recaps
• Sort, organize, edit, and share footage with the marketing team in a timely manner.
• Create player-focused edits and content during non-event periods as assigned.
• Collaborate closely with social media interns and the broader marketing/content team to support regional event coverage.
Qualifications
• Experience shooting and editing video content.
• Strong understanding of short-form digital storytelling and social media content trends.
• Familiarity with baseball and/or softball strongly preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and travel within assigned region/state for prescribed events.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to capture and edit content in fast-paced live-event environments.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software.
• Experience operating DSLR, mirrorless, or professional camera equipment.
• Understanding of sports cinematography and highlight editing.
• Ability to edit quickly and publish content in near real-time.
