A little about the job....

  • Operates fixed and portable fluoroscopic or conventional radiographs equipment to obtain routine radiographs.ย 
  • Assist physicians in examinations by mixing and preparing contrast media, assisting in sterile procedures, etc.ย 
  • In addition to general radiology, at times may also perform CT.

Qualificationsย for the job...

  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment as normally acquired through completion of two years post high school training in an approved school of radiologic technology.ย 
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) must be acquired within 90 days of hire date.
  • Up to twenty-four months experience necessary in order to gain familiarity with hospital environment and department routine, polices and procedures in diagnostic radiology and any specialty areas.ย 
  • Formal education in specialty areas would be accepted in lieu of experience.
  • CT experienced.
