Sign Production Technician – Large Format Printing & Finishing

Char-Dell Company dba FASTSIGNS – Blaine/Ham Lake
Full-Time | On-Site | Day Shift

At FASTSIGNS of Blaine, we don’t just make signs — we create high-quality visual products that help businesses stand out and succeed.
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Sign Production Technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys turning designs into finished products you can see in the real world.
This is not a warehouse or forklift position.
This is skilled, hands-on production work where attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving matter every day.
If you like working with your hands, solving problems, and producing work you’re proud of — this is a great fit.
???? What Makes This Role Different
You’ll be working with:
  •  Large-format printers
  •  CNC cutting equipment (Colex)
  •  Laminators and finishing tools
Every job is a little different — and the quality of your work is visible to our customers every day.
???? What You’ll Do
  •  Operate large-format printers, laminators, and CNC equipment
  •  Prepare materials (cutting, cleaning, laminating, painting)
  •  Weed and apply vinyl graphics with precision
  •  Trim, mount, and finish final products
  •  Follow and verify work orders for accuracy
  •  Help maintain an organized, efficient production area
  • Partner with the owner and production lead/manager to build and maintain production processes, helping shape how work flows through the shop as we continue to grow
???? What We’re Looking For
You’ll do well here if you:

  •  Take pride in doing things right the first time
  •  Notice small details others miss
  •  Like staying busy and working with your hands
  •  Are dependable and follow through
  •  Bring a positive, team-first attitude
  • Try to find the solution and bring options
  • Enjoy building positive relationships and works well with others to keep communication clear and production flowing
Preferred Experience:

  •  1–2 years in sign production, printing, or similar hands-on work
Requirements:

  •  Ability to stand for extended periods
  •  Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  •  Comfortable using tools and production equipment
???? This Role Is NOT a Fit If You:
  •  Prefer repetitive, low-detail work
  •  Dislike fast-paced environments
  •  Need constant supervision or direction
???? What We Offer
  • $20–$28/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
  •  Performance bonuses
  •  Paid vacation & holidays
  •  Health insurance
  •  401(k) with company match
  •  Ongoing training and growth opportunities
???? Growth Opportunities
This role can grow into:
  •  Lead Production
  •  Installation
  •  Project coordination
???? About Us
We are a locally owned and operated FASTSIGNS center, and our leadership team is hands-on and invested in your success. You won’t be just a number here — you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in doing great work together.
???? Our Core Values
We’re building a team that shows up every day with:
Integrity – Do the right thing, even when no one is watching
Diligence – Work hard, take ownership, and follow through
Friendly Energy – Treat teammates and customers with kindness
Fun – Enjoy the work and bring positive energy
Solution Orientation – Focus on possibilities, not roadblocks
