The Cooper River site is a high-performing manufacturing facility within DuPont's Diversified Industrials business, supporting MOLYKOTE specialty lubricants. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to help drive operational excellence and deliver measurable business results.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Technology (MT) Engineer provides technical expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective production. This role plays a key part in improving process capability, supporting bulk manufacturing operations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, uptime, and cost performance. This is an on-site position at our Cooper River site, and relocation is not supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical support for bulk production operations
  • Drive process improvements to enhance cycle time and product consistency
  • Analyze yield and implement solutions to reduce variability and scrap
  • Identify and implement equipment upgrades to improve performance and reliability
  • Lead and support capital projects from concept through execution
  • Track and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Drive uptime and reliability improvements across plant assets
  • Lead root cause analysis to resolve process, equipment, and quality issues
  • Partner with operations to eliminate recurring production challenges
  • Reduce manufacturing costs through optimization and waste reduction
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM), MOC, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and improve process documentation, SOPs, and technology packages

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and computer-based systems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead improvement initiatives

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Experience with OEE systems (e.g., TrakSYS)
  • Experience in chemical, batch, or industrial manufacturing environments
