Job description

If you have prior experience working in a fast-paced, kitchen production environment and want to work around unique and high quality products, then this Full-Time Prep Cook role may be a great fit for you! A local craft confectionery company that makes artisanal, infused candies is hiring a Prep Cook for their production facility ahead of their busy season. You are a good fit for this role if you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting.

Prep Cook Responsibilities:
· Clean and sanitize all food prep areas and equipment.
· Assist in preparation of food products.
· Tasks include but are not limited to:
· Measuring and scaling candy ingredients
· Cutting up candied fruit to place in molds
· Pouring and scraping hot candy mixture into molds
· Work with kitchen team to meet company standards, food safety and Liquor & Cannabis Board compliance.

Prep Cook Requirements:
· Prior experience in food production or commercial kitchen setting (Confectionery production or baking experience in a busy kitchen is a huge plus)
· Able to keep up with fast & repetitive tasks.
· Comfortable lifting 50lbs regularly.
· Must have a current valid WA Food Worker Card.

Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs - 8a-6pm  and Friday 7a-5p
· 36 hours per week 

Pay: $21.30-$24.00/hour
