Sticky Fingers Cookingยฎ of Northern Colorado is looking to hire part-time After School Children's Cooking Teacher to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kidsยฎ!

If you're passionate about cooking, have experience working with kids, and are looking for a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time job, we want to meet you! Applications will be accepted until 08/08/2026.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
  • Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
  • Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
  • Be the Face of Fun: Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Fridays. Typically chef instructors only teach 1 class/day.
  • Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
  • Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
  • Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs to store and transport materials.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

    • Accrued Leave: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for use of a variety of health- and safety-purposes, which employees "earn" at a rate of 1 hour of leave for 30 hours worked.
    • Public Health Emergency (PHE) Leave: Up to 80 hours of PHE-related leave when a PHE is declared.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cookingยฎ instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
