Cook - Midday Shift, Multi-Venue | 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

RiverMead, a premier not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Peterborough, NH, is seeking a skilled and reliable Cook for our 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shift, supporting meal service across multiple dining venues.
In this role, you'll prepare high-quality meals for residents, staff, and guests as you move between venues throughout the day, working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Whether you're coming from a restaurant, healthcare, hospitality, food service, senior living, or institutional dining background, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding culinary career while making a meaningful impact every day.

What You'll Do
As a midday Cook, you will:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including soups, salads, sandwiches, entrées, side dishes, and desserts
  • Provide food service support across multiple dining venues during the midday shift, including the Pub, Bistro, Health Center, and Main Kitchen
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, consistency, and portion control standards are met throughout lunch and into dinner service
  • Assist with meal preparation, production, plating, and service across venues as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and HACCP guidelines
  • Monitor, record, and maintain food and refrigeration temperatures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with routine equipment care
  • Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, servers, and dietary staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience across venues
  • Support team operations and help wherever needed to ensure efficient meal service

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional cooking experience preferred
  • Experience in restaurants, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, catering, or institutional food service is a plus
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable moving between venues and adapting to shifting priorities across a multi-venue midday shift
