Description

As one of the nation's premier private athletic clubs and a Seattle institution, The Washington Athletic Club (WAC) is not simply a place to work, but a place to belong. The WAC features extensive amenities, such as fitness centers, a stunning pool, three restaurants, a hotel, a spa, banquet halls, and more. Built in 1930, our beautifully maintained 21-story building in downtown Seattle has landmark status.


The WAC is seeking individuals who are dedicated to being the best and are willing to embrace the Club's five core values: Leadership, Excellence, Integrity, Service and Sensitivity.



Server Assistants (expo) support restaurant hosts and servers. They run food, clear used glassware, silverware, and plates from tables and reset it according to the restaurant's standards, setting up fresh plates, glasses, and utensils for the next guests.


Hours: Monday-Friday  4:00-10:00


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 


Clear used tableware and reset it according to restaurant standards 

Observe guests and respond with appropriate service based on their needs

Prepare and deliver food trays promptly and professionally

Answer room service calls and take orders accurately

Verify server orders using the POS system for accuracy before delivering food to the table

Assist in maintaining a clean dining room and service areas, completing all assigned side-work

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menu items, cooking techniques, and presentation

Maintain familiarity of WAC events and local activities 

Other duties as assigned.




Position Qualifications

A minimum of one (1) year experience bussing in a restaurant setting

High school diploma or equivalent

Washington State Food Handler's Permit

Class 12 MAST (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) permit

Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset


This is a tipped position.
