Be part of our team in Miami, OK, as we bring the legendary flavor of Popeyes® to life with passion, warmth, and a dash of Southern hospitality – creating not just a workplace but a coop of camaraderie!

The fry cook is responsible for preparing and deep frying our famous Popeyes chicken. 

Candidates for this position handle the preparation of food including battering and frying chicken.

The fry cook needs to comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and follow established food production programs and procedures.


Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Prepares food served based on specific Popeyes operating procedures.
  • Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Stores food properly and safely, marking the date and item.
  • Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.
  • Always keeps work area neat and clean; cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation.
  • Completes food temperature checks before service.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional with Guests and coworkers.
  • Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple stations.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Physical Demands – 

  • Be able to stand during the entire work shift to prepare and cook food.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
  • Be able to lift 25 pounds of force frequently.
  • Ability to carry products/ boxes weighing no more than 60 pounds.
