Responsibilites: The Nursing Home Cook prepares meals for our Veteran residents which meet their individual needs. The Cook also prepares meals for special events as needed. Our Cooks are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of prepared food items, excellent service to our Veteran residents, and the safety and sanitation of the Dietary Services Department.

Key Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices. One-year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Other cooking experience or successful completion of a cook's training program (not a class) will be considered.
