Ancho & Agave is looking for passionate line cooks to help us create the ultimate food experience. Join our culinary team that takes pride in preparing tacos, burritos, enchiladas and other Mexicanย specialties in our scratch kitchens!

Applicants must be friendly, hard-working, team-oriented, and punctual. Must be available to workย consistently and always have a positive attitude.ย 

Cook responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring ingredients and final products are fresh.ย 
  • Ensuring all food and other items are stored properly.ย 
  • Following recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.ย 
  • Following prep lists.ย 
  • Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.ย 
  • Preparing ingredients for cooking by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.ย 
  • Operating equipment following safety standards.ย 
  • Baking, grilling, steaming and broiling meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods.ย 
  • Presenting, garnishing and arranging final dishes.ย 
  • Handling and storing ingredients and food.ย 
  • Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.ย 
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and utensils.ย 
  • Executing opening and closing procedures.ย 
  • Setting up workstations with required ingredients and equipment.ย 
  • Monitoring station inventory levels. Restocking as needed.ย 
  • Operating kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, mixers, food processors, etc.ย 

Cook Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in food preparation in a scratch kitchen.ย 
  • Must be able to follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.ย 
  • Ability to read and speak English.ย 
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods.ย 
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
