Sales and Marketing Professional

Bell Nursery is seeking an experienced Marketing & Sales Generation Professional responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and sales initiatives tailored to live goods (plants, flowers, nursery products). This role bridges marketing and sales functions, focusing on demand generation, customer acquisition, and brand positioning across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels.

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote live goods products across seasonal cycles.
  • Manage campaigns across digital platforms, in-store promotions, and trade marketing.
  • Align product launches with growing seasons, holidays, and regional demand trends.
  • Oversee branding, messaging, and content specific to plant care, sustainability, and lifestyle benefits.

Sales Generation & Revenue Growth:

  • Partner with sales teams to create lead generation programs and promotional strategies.
  • Identify new market opportunities (garden centers, big-box retailers, landscapers, online platforms).
  • Drive sell-through strategies for perishable/live inventory.
  • Track and optimize conversion rates, sell-in/sell-out performance, and customer acquisition cost.

Channel Management:

  • Support retail and wholesale accounts with marketing materials, merchandising strategies, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce teams to optimize product listings, seasonal promotions, and customer journeys.

Customer Insights & Analytics:

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity in the horticulture industry.
  • Use data to refine campaigns, forecast demand, and reduce shrink/waste.
  • Monitor KPIs such as sales growth, ROI, traffic, and engagement.

Product & Seasonal Planning:

  • Work closely with growers, supply chain, and merchandising teams to align supply with demand.

  • Support pricing and promotional strategies for perishable goods.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Lead and collaborate with marketing, sales, merchandising, and operations teams.

  • 5-8+ years of experience in Marketing and Sales Generation and Channel Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in business marketing, Sales, Horticulture or related field

  • Content strategy (especially educational/lifestyle content for plant care)
  • Brand positioning and storytelling
  • Understanding of retail and wholesale sales cycles
