What You'll do:

Groundswell isseekinga highly skilledWorkday Data ConversionLeadto lead the Data Conversion workstream for a complex Workday implementation supporting an Intelligence Community customer. This individual willbe responsible forthe end-to-end data conversion lifecycle and will work closely with Workday Configuration, Integration, Testing, Security, and other implementation workstreams to support successful deployment.

The Workday Data Conversion Lead will work with data owners and stakeholders across multiple client organizations to lead data extraction, mapping, harmonization, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and conversion into Workday. This individual will coordinate the use of approved data conversion technologies and work with technology partners to manage platform, security, and cross-workstream dependencies. The role will also lead multiple Workday conversion cycles across secure customer environments.

The ideal candidate will combine deep Workday data conversionexpertise, strong technical and data management skills, and workstream leadership experience to drive data quality, conversion readiness, and successful execution throughout the Workday implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Data Conversion workstream for a complex Workday implementation, coordinating closely with Configuration, Integration, Testing, Security, and other implementation workstreams.

  • Develop and manage the data conversion strategy, plan, schedule, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables in alignment with the overall Workday implementation.

  • Coordinate with data owners and stakeholders across multiple client organizations toidentify, extract,validate, and prepare source data for conversion.

  • Lead data profiling, mapping, harmonization, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.

  • Leverage approved data conversion technologies and tools to prepare legacy data for migration into Workday.

  • Coordinate with technology partners to manage platform availability, security requirements, and dependencies that mayimpactdata conversion activities.

  • Plan, coordinate, and support multiple Workday data loads and conversion cycles across secure customer environments.

  • Partner with Workday Configuration and Integration teams to ensure converted data aligns with configuration decisions, integration requirements, and overall solution design.

  • Coordinate data validation and reconciliation with client data owners and Workday functional teams throughout each conversion cycle.

  • Identifyand manage data conversion risks, issues, and cross-workstream dependencies, escalating broader implementationimpactsto the Workday Delivery Lead.

  • Ensure sensitive data is handledin accordance withapplicable Federal, customer, and program security requirements throughout the conversion lifecycle.

  • Maintain required data conversion documentation, mappings, validation results, reconciliation artifacts, and implementation deliverables.

  • Lead and coordinate Data Conversion team members and provide regular status on workstream progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and readiness.

Work Location & Travel Requirements:

  • Must be local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area (or willing torelocate) and willing to work onsite within customer SCIF environments 3-4 days per week.

  • Approximately 5% travel within the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region isrequired.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenshiprequiredper contract requirements.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government Top Secret security clearance with SCI favorability andCounterintelligence(CI) polygraph, as required by contract. Candidates who currently hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph will receive priority consideration.

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience supporting HRIS, HCM, ERP, or enterprise technology implementations, withsignificant experiencein data conversion, migration, or integration.

  • 5+ years of Workday implementation experience, including experience leading data conversion activities through multiple implementation phases.

  • Experience leading the end-to-end data conversion workstream for at least two large-scale Workday implementations.

  • Current Workday HCM Data Loading Services Certification.

  • Strong understanding of Workday data conversion tools, methodologies, data loading processes, and implementation lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated experience with data profiling, mapping, harmonization, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

  • Experience planning and executing multiple data conversion cycles and Workday data loads through testing, deployment, and go-live.

  • Experience converting data from multiple legacy systems and managing complex source-to-target data mappings.

  • Experience working directly with business and technical data owners to define data requirements, resolve data quality issues, andvalidateconverted data.

  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data quality practices, and data reconciliation techniques.

  • Proficiencywith SQL, data analysis, and data conversion or transformation tools.

  • Experience coordinating data conversion activities with functional configuration, integration, testing, and other implementation workstreams.

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing cross-workstream dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery milestones.

  • Strong customer-facing, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience handling sensitive data within secure or regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Federal government, Department of Defense (DoD), and/or Intelligence Community (IC) Workday implementations.

  • Additional Workday certifications applicable to HCM data conversion or assigned functional domains.

  • Experience leading data conversion activities involving multiple organizations, business units, or data owners.

  • Experience with complex enterprise data harmonization and consolidation initiatives.

  • Experience working with specialized data preparation, conversion, or migration platforms and technologies.

  • Experience supporting data conversion activities across multiple secure customer environments.

  • Familiarity with Federal HR and personnel data and legacy HR systems.

  • Familiarity with NIST security controls and Federal data security requirements.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to sensitive data handling, storage, and transmission.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
