Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Convergent Charging Architect with strong expertise in SAP BRIM, Convergent Charging, and Convergent Mediation implementations. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end knowledge of BRIM processes, experience designing and supporting high-volume charging solutions, and the ability to work with business and technical teams to deliver scalable billing and revenue management solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support SAP Convergent Charging solutions as part of SAP BRIM implementations.
  • Provide end-to-end expertise across BRIM processes, including Convergent Mediation, Convergent Charging, and billing flows.
  • Lead solution design discussions and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Configure and enhance SAP Convergent Charging components including:
    • Chargeable Item Classes
    • Pricing Macros
    • Charge Plans
    • Rating and Charging models
    • One-time, usage-based, and recurring charges
    • Product cross-catalog modeling
  • Design and support mediation workflows for collecting, validating, enriching, transforming, and loading usage data into SAP CC/CI.
  • Work with usage aggregation policies and optimize usage record processing for downstream accounting and revenue allocation needs.
  • Support integration between Provider Contracts, Subscriber Accounts, Billable Item Mapping, and Consumption Item Mapping.
  • Analyze performance issues and optimize high-volume charging and mediation processes.
  • Participate in client-facing workshops, architecture discussions, and detailed design sessions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with SAP Convergent Charging (SAP CC) and SAP BRIM implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with Convergent Mediation and mediation zone workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of BRIM architecture and process flows.
  • Experience with SAP Convergent Charging Core Tool, Admin Tool, and BART Tool.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • SAP ABAP
    • Web services development
    • J2EE technologies (EJB, Servlet/JSP, XML)
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    • Oracle SQL programming, tuning, and stored procedures
  • Experience working with:
    • Unix/Linux and Windows environments
    • JVM, Web Servers, and Application Servers
    • Security programming concepts
  • Experience with REST/Web services integration.
Industry Experience

Preferred experience in:

  • Utility/Energy industry
  • Telecommunications industry
  • High-volume usage-based billing environments
Required Experience
  • 10+ years of SAP experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BRIM Convergent Charging and Convergent Mediation.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale SAP charging and billing solutions.
