Southern Oaks Neighborhood Resource Fair

Child Poverty Action Lab (CPAL) aims to cut child poverty in half in a generation. We convene partners and community members to improve health and economic outcomes for parents in Dallas. Help us make a difference and reduce crime through mutual aid.

Event Details

Families will be invited to a resource fair designed to provide fun while offering resources to alleviate financial burdens and improve quality of life. Families who attend will receive:

  • benefits screenings
  • healthcare resources
  • early education resources
  • criminal justice and legal aid
  • housing support
  • safety resources
Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers will:

  • set up
  • bag up produce
  • distribute food, produce, household items, and other goods
  • greet families
  • support intake
  • help vendors
  • play with children
  • support families to navigate the event
  • break down
