Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Controls Technician to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control automation systems for HVAC equipment in both commercial and residential environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC and control systems, including PLCs, BAS, and SCADA platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control automation systems for commercial and residential HVAC equipment.
  • Understand equipment control functions via PLCs within BAS (Building Automation Systems) or SCADA platforms.
  • Perform calibration, configuration, servicing, and maintenance of control systems and their subsystems.
  • Use system diagnostic tools to perform routine updates, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Read and interpret schematical diagrams to understand system designs and operations.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, independently or with team and management support.
  • Maintain knowledge of and experience with Schneider, JCI, Siemens, Pritchett, or NAVSys control systems or platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in BACnet or MODBUS.
  • Niagara Certification.
  • Experience with CoolAutomation systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of HVAC and controls systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, BAS, or SCADA platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Prior experience in controls systems or a related field.
