Job description

As a Controls Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's electrical systems and equipment. Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you'll focus on the PCIS (Process Control and Information Systems) domain, contributing to action plans and driving our strategic vision. Your expertise in PLC programming, instrumentation, and controls will be essential as we strive for continuous improvement and overall facility success. This role is located onsite in our Jackson, TN plant.
You'll be helping the Jackson plant as they strive to be the best through your collaboration with leaders across the site on various systems projects tailored towards the sites Factory of the Future automation program. They'll be looking to you for your expertise creating opportunities to make a lasting impact on some of your favorite snack foods. As you excel in your role, there will be opportunities to work closely with leadership, gaining valuable insights and mentorship. High performance opens doors to advancement within our organization. The role serves as a steppingstone for broader responsibilities and leadership positions.
A Taste of What You'll Be Doing
  • Improving and Innovating-Own the performance of the plant's PLC software systems and network, electrical drawing system and all power systems work. This could include hardware, software, plant and system wide architecture and surplus assets. Crucially, you'll ensure the successful delivery and use of these technologies. You will collaborate with the Sr. Systems Engineer to promote common systems, leveraging of scale and future integration possibilities.
  • Supporting and Delivering Key Projects-Share your expertise and demonstrate leadership for all PCIS projects and site initiatives to meet business needs. To provide and capture the scope of each project, you will work with the processing and packing departments and develop relationships with global engineering and vendors. You won't keep the pace - you'll set it!
  • Developing Capabilities-Coach and develop the engineering support organization and daily operation leadership. You will manage training for site resources and ensure expertise around legal and Kellanova Company requirements. We'll grow together every day!

We're Looking for Someone With
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field OR GED and experience in a related field
  • Experience working with PLC programming (RS Logix/ Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and National Electrical Code
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with AutoCAD software
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully manage internal and external relationships
  • Strong capacity to influence when working with technicians, managers, and other resources

Compensation
The annual salary range is $83,000 - $109,400, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
