Job description

Automation Services and Controls, a division of The Hannon Company, is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer with 3-5 years experience in the following:
Job Scope:
  • Engineer and design electrical automation control systems.
  • Develop PLC and drive programs.
  • Design HMI/SCADA interface screens.
  • Develop electrical drawings.
  • Participate in the development, design and servicing of motor controls and industrial electronic control systems.
  • Perform system startups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding and power testing.
  • Field service work: analyze engineering problems, find solutions and repair, and provide recommendations for improved performance.
  • Manage and prioritize project schedules.

Required Skills:
  • Advance troubleshooting of PLC's, Servo's, and Machine control systems.
  • Understanding of Servo, VFD, and DC drives and motor theory.
  • Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting.
  • High attention to details with problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • BSEE/BSET degree or equivalent experience.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without ASC (The Hannon Company) sponsorship.
