Job description

Overview:

The Controls Engineer will build, design, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take customer supplied Robot logic, I/O database, etc. and creating robot control configuration and robot network architecture
  • Produce robot controls engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues
  • Research and develop robot controls engineering techniques and approaches
  • Verify and validate designs as needed
  • Design graphical user interfaces
  • Configure and program software
  • Program control sequences
  • Provide system documentation as required
  • Customer training and support
  • Testing and debug
  • Any additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications & Experience:

Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or similar preferred
  • 5 years of experience of direct field experience or equivalent
  • Sound skills with technical, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance multiple projects in parallel
  • Willing to train in the following disciplines are required:- Robot: Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Motoman Robotics- PLC: RSLogics 5000, Siemens S7, TIA Portal and various platforms- Vision Systems: Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne Dalsa and various platforms
