Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to support its Power & Controls, Electric Power Systems organization. We're looking for an experienced professional, like you, to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What YOU will do:
  • Lead cross-functional project engineering activities in support of multiple Power and Controls EPS Programs, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Operations, PMO, Supply Chain, and Quality.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, estimates, risk assessments, resource plans, and progress metrics to support cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with partner organizations to gather data, validate assumptions, track actions, and ensure timely execution of program deliverables.
  • Support, budget planning, earned value inputs, and leadership reporting for ongoing and future work packages.
  • Facilitate communication across IPTs, escalate critical issues when needed, and drive resolution strategies that improve program performance.
  • Contribute to process improvements related to scheduling, data integration, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Travel 35%

Qualifications you must have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience supporting cross-functional engineering programs with competing priorities and critical schedule demands.
  • Microsoft Project and skills in data-driven schedule, cost, and resource analysis.
  • Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, align members with project goals, and drive progress toward milestones.
  • Understanding of Project Management Theory and Concepts.
  • Experience with recovery planning and workaround facilitation.
  • Experience with resource loading, identifying, and resolving over-allocations and resource reporting in MS Project.
  • Experience collaborating across IPTs and coordinating deliverables among
  • Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, PMO, and Quality.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with cost/schedule integration, EVMS principles, and program performance tracking.
  • Experience with product life cycle processes, including Systems, Hardware, Software, and Mechanical disciplines, as well as Agile or Life Cycle Management methodologies.
