What you will do
As a High-Level Engineer, you will be pivotal in pre-sales engineering, design, and estimation during the project design and proposal phases. Your role will also involve value engineering and cost optimization, working closely with subcontractors and vendors.
How you will do it
  • Verify the assumptions made during Solution Design, Estimation and Scope of Work assigned for projects, collaborating closely with sales and operations teams.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop and provide designs in compliance with contract drawing, site coordination, and site installation requirements.
  • Provide technical risk analysis for complete solutions.
  • Participate in transition meetings with operations team to ensure project scope, objectives, timeline and customer requirements are properly addressed.
  • Perform on-site data collection at customer facilities.
  • Support post-contract design review.
  • Engage with vendors, sub-contractors, global products and service providers to communicate requirements, assess and validate quotes, negotiate and obtain competitive offers and finalize solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals and related documents for finalization and presentation to clients.
  • Facilitate prompt responses by providing timely selections, specifications, sequences, drawings and document reviews as needed.
  • Identify best in class engineering practices and facilitate propagation of these practices throughout the business.
  • Coordinate with Post Sales Engineering teams to oversee the submission of drawings and related documents to customers after the sale.
  • Enforce and adhere to QA/QC policies, procedures and practices.
  • Work closely with team leaders to manage backlog execution, schedule and forecast execution of projects
  • Assist Strategic Account Managers in preparing bid responses and functional specifications
  • Support Strategic Accounts Sales and Business Operations team members in preparation of project cost estimates
  • Audit installed systems to ensure proper products revision control and customer support
  • Aid in the evaluation and beta testing of new systems and subsystems to meet all possible requirements.
  • Help in the planning, setup, and support of National Accounts product demonstrations, industry shows and exhibitions.

What we look for
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Three years proficiency in design, pricing and implementation of all types of integrated systems projects
  • Proficient in large project management, database connectivity, basic LAN protocols and serial communications
  • High level of proficiency in Building Controls Design and Estimation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of PC literacy

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 to $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience,
knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market
data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group,
and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The
