Cullman AL / FALKVILLE
$18+ depending on experience.

General Accountability
Responsible for safely operating and maintaining painting equipment and overhead cranes in accordance with the site’s business goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to paint equipment.
  2. Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using paint mixing equipment.
  3. Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with paint or rustproofing materials.
  4. Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate equipment temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints.
  5. Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons.
  6. Operate equipment used in coating or painting processes.
  7. Attach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches and pliers, and make adjustments to obtain the proper dispersion of spray.
  8. Transfer completed items or products from paint areas to drying or storage areas or cranes.
  9. Hold or position spray guns to direct spray onto product.
Detailed Work Activities
  1. Move product from paint area.
  2. Mount attachments or tools onto paint equipment.
  3. Mix ingredients to create specific finishes.
  4. Measure ingredients or substances to be used in paint processes.
  5. Apply protective finishes to workpieces or products.
  6. Adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of paint.
  7. Operate painting or coating equipment.
  8. Operate mixing equipment.
  9. Operate pumping systems or equipment.
  10. Position raw materials on work horses.
  11. Connect supply lines to paint equipment or tools.
  12. Use overhead cranes to move products, materials, or equipment between work areas
  13. General housekeeping of work areas(s).
  14. Notify maintenance of equipment needs and repairs.
  15. Mark or tag identification on parts.
  16. Use fire suppression methods in industrial emergencies.
  17. Requires working in varying climate changes (heat/cold).
Education and Training
  1. Requires training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.
  2. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations.
  3. One or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations.
  4. Proficient communication and or organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals.
