Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Director / Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a multi-entity organization. This role will be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and process improvement initiatives.


About the Role

The ideal candidate is a strong accounting leader who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and partnering with operations and executive leadership.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Oversee consolidations and intercompany accounting activities.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through account reconciliations and review procedures.
  • Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Manage annual external audits and support compliance requirements.
  • Drive accounting process improvements and systems initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and mentor accounting team members.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment.
  • ERP system experience required.
  • Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working within a global organization is a plus.
