Job description

Overview

In this role, you'll take the lead on program cost control and financial analysis, including preparing and managing detailed EstimateatCompletion (EAC) reports, developing and maintaining key monthly financial deliverables, and performing indepth analysis of actuals versus forecasts. You'll partner closely with program managers and leadership to identify risks, explain variances, and support datadriven decisionmaking. The Program Controller II is accountable for timely, accurate reporting, contributes to process improvements, and independently completes adhoc financial analyses to support contract requirements and management needs. This role is ideal for professionals with prior program finance or government contracting experience who are ready to expand their responsibility, deepen their analytical skills, and make a measurable impact on program success. 

Responsibilities
  • Develop,maintain,andreportallbudgets,projections,forecasts,andperformancemetricsagainst expense-related data.
  • Ensure consistent and correct application of budget guidelines while facilitatinginformationbetweenProjectManagers(PMs),Directors,and AccountingandContractsstafftomonitorthe submission,processing, and dispositionof expenditures.
  • ApplyproperGovernmentbudgetaryprocessesandrequirementssuchasobligationand expenditure tracking, proactively identify variances from approved expenditures andbudgettargets, and researchand resolvefinancial/accountingandcomplianceissues.
  • Prepare monthly reports, including monthly customer reports (CDRLs) and graphs,estimate-at-completion(EAC)reports,and forwardpricingprojectionstosupportadhoc requirements.
  • Monitor assigned tasks and keep the Program Control Manager and PMs abreast of allissues,concerns,problems,andannualbudgetpreparationforcompanybusinessunits.
  • Reviewfinancial reportsto ensureall expendituresareallocated tothe correctaccounts.
  • Processsubcontractorinvoices;reviewcustomerinvoices;reviewtimecard/ODCcorrections.
  • AssistthePMsindevelopingprogrammanagementpresentationsandassociatedmaterials.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor'sDegreeand3 or more years ofexperienceinadministration, finance,and/orcontracts. Experience may besubstituted for formal education. 
  • Experiencein Costing,Pricing,andBudgeting. 
  • Strongfinancialbackgroundandanalyticalskills. 
  • Managemultiplehigh-visibilityprojectsunder pressure. 
  • Attentiontodetail;self-starter;clearcommunicator;focusandcommitment. 
  • Abilityto organizeand prioritizework. 
  • Can make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgmentconsistent with Chenega standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, orgovernmentregulations. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • MicrosoftOfficesuite (Word,Excel,Access,PowerPoint) knowledge. 
  • Must be proficient in MS Exceland have strongfunctionalitywithinMSOffice Suite. 
  • SharePointexperience desired. 
  • Deltek,Costpointexperiencedesired.
